About
Ryan has been professionally writing and directing comedy for over 10 years, but his love of all things funny and absurd started very young. He started making shorts and studying Improv when he was 13 and it’s only gotten worse from there. After graduating from Davidson College with a Bachelors in History and a Concentration in Film he moved to NYC to pursue TV Production, study Improv at UCB NY and continued making sketches.
After years of bootstrapping, and hundreds of projects, Ryan started to unlock the secret to that whole ‘make things go viral’ game and decided it was time to make this his full time job.
He started Motiv Creative in 2013, a boutique creative agency crafting earned media campaigns for causes & non-profits before moving in with his most impactful client, RepresentUs in 2017.
In 2021 he left his heart in NYC and moved to Los Angeles, where he now resides with his stand up comic fiancée and her unrelenting insistence that they get a dog.
